Purpose The puropose of our Arts Ministry at Grace Point Church is to build a colony of fully devoted artists, who are developing and expressing Art as worship in order to be a catalyst for corporate praise. We Believe that the local church has been given the charge of developing its members' understanding of worship through arts and its purpose, and to provide a clear and undistracted opportunity to experience God's presence in a group setting. We believe that our responsibility is to show each servant that worship is not an event that stop or starts, but an expression with our lifestyle. Our worship is acceptable and effective by our being moment-by-moment living sacrifices, (Romans 12:1-2) doing everything in the Spirit and according to truth, (John 4:24) seeking out the beauty of holiness (Psalm 29:2) as our only walk, holding fast to God, who alone is worth of our praise and worship (Matthew 4:10). Worship is placing our mind's attention and heart's affection on God in continuous response to who He is and what He has done. Our philosophy of worship is based in part on our worship strategy that comes from Ephesians 5:19. This verse says that we are to speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in our hearts to God. This verse explains why we use the types of songs that we use, and also why we strive to explain worship as a condition of the heart, not a performance for men. The second aspect of our Philosophy is in a term called Worship Evangelism. In 1 Corinthians 14:25-27, it says that the secrets of the un-believer's heart will be laid bare so he will fall down and worship God, saying, "God is really among you!" Because of our response to who God is, unbelievers will be drawn to seek God in the same way. Corporately, our vision for worship through the arts is to provide this type of authentic and spiritual experience with music and creative elements which are relevant and thematic. Authentic worship is an experience that does not stray from the guidelines of God's Word, which gives use the basis for what we determine to be true. � Music Arts The Music Arts is our largest and fast growing Arts Ministry at Grace Point. It's our desire that we bring the best offering possible before God, in continuous response to who He is and what He has done. In order to do that, we have set the bar very high in regards to performance. Not so that we place the value of performance above God being rendered value and worth, but so that in the expression of our worship, God is magnified with an excellent artistic performance. Theatrical Arts This ministry consists of members of GPC who are at least 8 years old and desire to explore the craft of acting, directing or tehnical theater, as well as fulfill the Theatrical Arts requirements. Production Arts This ministry provides lights, sound, video, graphic design, staging and technical support for musical performances and other church related services and activities.  The team is comprised of servants (some experienced, some not) who assist in the numerous technical positions that make the weekend services happen. Web/Graphic Arts This team designs and implements the content to Grace Point's various websites.
