Jeff Harris, Senior Pastor

           Jeff loves Grace Point because it’s a church for the common man.  He has been the Senior Pastor at Grace Point since 1994 and has had the privilege of seeing the community grow from the very beginning.  His passion is equipping believers to be the church wherever they go and he thrives on seeing transformed lives on a daily basis.  

          Jeff is a graduate of Baylor University and Dallas Theological Seminary and is currently working on his doctorate.  He has been married to Jody to for 16 years and has four children:  Sydney, Connor, Hadley and McKenna.  When Jeff isn’t at church, he is either hanging out with the family or biking on one of San Antonio’s trails.  He also enjoys a good cup of coffee.

  

Jamye Cappadonna

Executive Pastor

          Jamye is part of one of the founding families of Grace Point Church and served as the Children’s Pastor for many years.  In 2007 she became the Pastor of Strategic Operations and transitioned to that role full time in 2008.  She loves working in team with the Senior Pastor in overseeing the implementation of Grace Point’s strategic vision in all areas. 
          Jamye has been married to her husband Bo for 30 years and has five children: Abbey, Anne Marie, Molly, Julianne and Barrett.  Her oldest two daughters are married to great sons-in-law.  On a free day Jamye loves to shop, hang out at Medina Lake or go see a movie.  She also likes a good challenge.

 

Dave Galbraith, Pastor of Connection

Dave started his journey as pastor in 2004 after feeling led out of the business world into ministry.  Dave is passionate about passing on the grace from God he has experienced to people who desperately need Him.  He loves to connect people with their Savior and others who choose to devote their lives to Him.      
Dave attended Wheaton College with a degree in Christian Education and Physical Education.  He has been married to his best friend Jo for 36 years, whom he enjoys partnering with in ministering to couples.  His two adult children are both teachers, actively serving at Grace Point and have given him four beautiful granddaughters.  Dave loves the beach, golf, and is a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

 

 Michael Sharrow, Pastor of Community

Michael joined the staff in 2008, having acknowledged a call to ministry in 1999.  His ministry focus is discipleship and spiritual development, which includes Life Groups, Financial Stewardship, Marriage & Family and Educational ministries.  He is passionate about people experiencing true community, thriving marriages and an understanding of God and His Word.
His undergraduate studies include business, ministry and philosophy from Trinity International University (Chicago), and graduate work in project management at Loyola University.  Mike has been married to his lovely bride Jacqui since 2002.  In addition to Kingdom work, he enjoys hiking, reading, racquetball and a good conversation.

 

John Walters, Pastor of Calling

John joined the Grace Point staff in 2000 to build the missions and evangelism ministry.  Prior, he worked several years in radio sports and journalism, was on staff at Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin, Texas where he served as Recreation Minister and Pastor to Singles for 20 years.  John’s passion is missions and helping lead others to experience God in distant places.
He is a graduate of Baylor University where he played baseball and majored in communications.  John and his wife Barbara have been married 27 years, and they both love to travel and read.  He also loves all sports, but in particular likes to play golf for relaxation and racquetball for exercise. 

  

Justin McCartney

Pastor of Worship and Music Arts

In February of 2008, Justin joined the staff.  He gave his heart to Christ as a young child and then surrendered to the call to full time ministry during high school.  He is passionate about people engaging the heart of God in personal and corporate authentic worship.  Justin considers it a tremendous privilege to serve with talented people who are passionate about music arts and humbly leading the church body into God’s presence.
Justin graduated from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.  He and his wife Heidi and son Ashton are excited about the new baby on the way.  Sitting down and having great conversations with people is how Justin relaxes and spends leisure time. 

  

Thomas Ivey

Pastor of Worship and Production Arts

Thomas has been in full time ministry since 1999 and has been at Grace Point since February of 2005.  Thomas exchanged his life for the life of Christ when he was eight years old and felt the call into ministry in high school.  He is a song writer and an accomplished worship leader.  He loves the creative aspect of his work at Grace Point and is very passionate about reaching people for Christ through the arts. 
He and his wife Elaine, have three children: Megan, Seth and Lindsey.  In his free time he loves to hang out with his family, play the guitar hero and watch re-runs of MASH.

  

Andy Brown

College Pastor

Andy has been the Youth Pastor since the summer of 2002, and in 2008 transitioned to the College Pastor role.  Andy exchanged his life as a young child and by the age of 18, God called him into vocational ministry.  During his twenty plus years of ministering to teenagers, Andy has discovered that the teen years are life-defining years.  His goal as a pastor is to lead teenagers and collegiates to full devotion to Jesus Christ and equip them to serve the Lord with reckless abandonment.
Andy has been married to Shannon for nineteen years and they have four sons: Brady, Baylen, Brannon and Briley.  They also enjoy being foster parents.  Andy loves to play golf and bowling, and he loves to eat any Mexican food. 

  

John Davison

Student Pastor

John has been on staff since February 2008.  He exchanged his life as a child and when he was 16, God called him into vocational ministry.  He has been serving in youth ministry and leading worship for nine years.  Because of his past and God’s leading, John understands that one of the most important, challenging, growing, and life-changing time for a person is middle and high school.  He has a passion for seeing students grow to their full potential as devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
John has been married to Alyssa for 3 years and they have 2 hairy children: a white shepherd/lab and a miniature cocker spaniel.  John enjoys playing the guitar, card tricks, mountain biking, eating lasagna and cheering for the Dallas Mavericks.

  

Faith Herrera

Children's Pastor

Faith joined the staff January 2008, but has been part of the GP community since 2000.  Faith transitioned to the Children's Pastor role in September 2008.  Having exchanged her life as a child, she is now passionate about seeing children’s faces light up when they learn for the first or hundredth time that Jesus loves them and wants to have a relationship them. 
Faith received her Psychology degree from the University of Houston, and she holds teaching certificates in both Math and Special Education.  Faith has been married to her wonderful husband, Richard, since 2001. In her spare time, Faith enjoys cycling and reading.
