 Crosswalk for Kids Minimize

Crosswalk for Kids is our Sunday Morning Ministry to children in 1st-5th grades. Classes are offered at 9:30, 11:00, & 12:30 each Sunday. Children choose one hour to attend Crosswalk for Kids and attend the worship service with their family another hour.

Ever been envious of all the fun your kids have in Crosswalk? Well this is your chance to experience Crosswalk. In Family Crosswalk, your entire family will go through a Crosswalk rotation together. You will also be given easy weekly activities that you can do as a family that will build on the lessons you are learning in Family Crosswalk.

Family Crosswalk is designed to help families learn to walk together with God on a daily basis.  Family Crosswalk will be offered at 9:30, 11:00, and 12:30 on Sunday mornings. It is on a first-come, first-serve basis with limited availability.

To sign up for Family Crosswalk, or to have the weekly family activity emailed to you, contact Kristi Johnson at kristi.johnson@gracepoint.org.

This workshop rotation model allows children to learn and retain Biblical concepts through a variety of learning styles by rotating through various experience stations over a 4-6 week period.  Classrooms are kid friendly spaces that make the children eager to come back next week.  1st - 5th graders are grouped by grade and travel together to a different workshop each week.  Their traveling companion is a Shepherd, a caring adult who has committed to grow relationships with a group of 8-10 children for one year.  The Biblical concept and story are the same for 4-6 weeks, but taught in different, relevant and exciting ways by teachers gifted and passionate about their particular workshop.  During the five years your child is in Crosswalk, we will do our best to help them answer these three questions: (1) Who is God? (2) How do I have new life in Christ (3) How can I live with Christian character?

 Crosswalk Workshops

  • B.C. Lab - Interactive software programs and Internet connections enable the children to explore the Bible, research faith stories and reinforce Biblical concepts.
  • Creation Station - Children internalize the Biblical concepts through different art mediums.
  • Biblebuster Videos - Children walk into the fully equipped movie theater, pick-up a drink and a bag of popcorn and take a seat to watch and discuss a movie on this rotation's Bible concept.
  • Holyword Studios - In this workshop children will act out the Bible story with a pre-written script or write a script themselves.  Dramas are videotaped and viewed during class when time allows.
  • Revelations - Children will hear the story first hand from a costumed character who was actually there.
  • Temple Time - In this room children will learn Bible skills, research geographical settings or play exciting games to test their knowledge of each concept or story.
  • Soul Café - Children prepare food items that are symbolic or representative of the Bible lesson or culture.
  • KNOW - A busy place where children will be creating ads or taping news reports as though Bible stories were happening right now.
  • The Master's Hands - Using different types of puppets, children will act out Bible stories and concepts.
  • Celebration Station - Music is a powerful retention tool.  Children will celebrate God's Word through song and learn about worshiping Him.
