Throughout the New Testament there are dozens (at least 52) of one anothers, or statements about how followers of Jesus are intended to live and treat each other. A majority of all the "do this" statements in the letters to early churches used plural words (the Greek equivalent of "y'all") in referencing followers of Jesus. The Christian life is one intended to be lived out in community, in the context of relationships.
In the earliest moments of the first church we read that not only did followers of Jesus gather weekly in large assemblies and the temple courts - but that they daily met in homes. With thousands of people joining the church within weeks, early Christians instantly recognized how important it would be that they meet in smaller groups for fellowship, study, worship, prayer, and encouraging each other in the life of Jesus. Life Groups @ Grace Point Church are the way in which we best live out the depth and purpose of Christian community.
It is in life groups that you will find meaningful relationships, accountability, encouragement, ministry opportunities and the community context in which to follow Jesus with full devotion. There are dozens of these groups meeting all over the San Antonio area. Participating in a life group is a vital aspect of life at Grace Point Church.
