John Walters - Pastor of Calling

John joined the Grace Point staff in 2000 to build the missions and evangelism ministry. Prior, he worked several years in radio sports and journalism, was on staff at Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin, Texas where he served as Recreation Minister and Pastor to Singles for 20 years. John's passion is missions and helping lead others to experience God in distant places.

He is a graduate of Baylor University where he played baseball and majored in communications. John and his wife Barbara have been married 27 years, and they both love to travel and read. He also loves all sports, but in particular likes to play golf for relaxation and racquetball for exercise.
