Prayer: Freedom Prayer Weekend

Prayer: Freedom Prayer Weekend

Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever [a]the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.” John 5:19

“Abide in me and I in you, As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in me.” John15:4

“The one who says he abides in him(Jesus) ought himself to walk in the same manner as he walked.” (1 John 2:6)

And what manner was that? To see what the Father is doing and to hear what the Father is saying. This way of abiding with God is at the heart of this Freedom Prayer Weekend.

What is Freedom Prayer?

Freedom Prayer is a collection of biblical prayer disciplines that empower believers into the new covenant practice of abiding. Paul talked about it as the intimate experiential knowledge of God, as the removing of the veil that blinds our minds, and the renewing of the mind that bring us into knowing and experiencing the will of God. Together we will practice contemplative prayer “tools” based on biblical instructions connected to our walk with God. “Forgive others as you have been forgiven” for example. These spiritual weapons are mighty in bringing down strongholds, overthrowing lies that oppose our ability to know God, checking our own arrogance against the experiential knowing of God, and taking thoughts captive. (2 Cor 10). All of this is done with the goal of walking in obedience as the fruit of abiding.

There is no cost to attend. Register now to reserve your spot. Materials are available for purchase for the class but not required. Please register HERE. Registration closes on Thursday July 18. Email for information.
