Prison Ministry

Our prison ministry exists to live out Matthew 25:35-36,40

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me…Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

We believe that ministering to those who are incarcerated is not only a blessing to that person but also to God, Himself. We do this by offering the following opportunities to our Mission Partners:

Inmate Testimonials:

“For some of us, the volunteers from Grace Point are the only visits we receive. To know that it’s a love of Christ that brings them, gives me hope and motivation. I appreciate those who volunteer their precious time to share the word of God.” – Joey M.

“Before my incarceration, I had no knowledge of the Lord’s ways. In this incarceration I was able to see the Lord’s heart for me & accepted him as my Lord and savior. Thank you Grace Point for coming to have church with me, a nobody. I’ll never forget that day, men and women from the free world & men in here, mixed in with one another, all with the same purpose to serve, worship and honor our great heavenly father and Lord Jesus Christ.” – Albert R.

  • Letter Writing  -For those who may not feel comfortable visiting a state prison, we believe that genuine relationships can be formed with our brothers-in-Christ at Torres by being part of our letter writing ministry.
  • Grace House of San Antonio-We partner and believe in the mission of Grace House here in San Antonio. Grace House exists to train, support and give hope to women following incarceration, or those in the midst of perilous lifestyles. Various volunteer opportunities exist.
